Can be custom painted or stained to match your decor, with black inside and electrical enclosure. The production versions of these can be in varying slot and color configurations. With the option of custom logos to the side panels.
These 12U prototype are shown in Dupli-Color Deep Blue Metallic and clear coat and have Dupli-Color Jet Black to the inside and underneath With SW Pro DTM Black to the electrical enclosure . It is a standard 12U Rack that have rails front and rear facing to accept M6 Cage Nuts. With a 500mm spacing from front rail to back rail and rails are inset 32mm from the Case's face edges.
These Case are constructed with 12mm softwood ply edged with 19mm hardwood trim front and back rounded for knock protection. The top has two 25mm x 3mm aluminum rails Front to back to help protect paint. Cases sit on 2" rubber wheel casters, front swivel and back fixed. No brakes.
Each Case has built in 4000K LED Tape lighting, which run down adjacent to all four Rack rails. These are controlled via a 12v illuminated Lighting switch and a dimmer control pot, located on the Power Supply Unit (PSU) under the front bottom edge. (All four LED tapes are controlled together; however, in the future Production models will be split front and rear with independent switches and dimmers)
Each Case also has forced air circulation. The twin fans per unit are 12v 32.4CFM 1.44W 2500 RPM 29.4DB, and are attached to the PSU access cover. They have filter screens. Due to the filter screens locations, the fans will not function correctly if the unit is placed on carpet. (with the exception of thin industrial indoor/outdoor type.) This clearance will be rectified in the production models. These fans channel air up the left and right walls, assisting in equipment cooling. There can also be switched off for noise sensitive recording, using the illuminated 12v switch on PSU front panel.
The PSU has a master 120v illuminated switch also found on the front panel. This switch shuts ALL the power off to the Case. The rear panel of the PSU, as well as having the 120V Mains-In Socket, also has 12 NEMA 5-15 power outlets, tucked away under the case between the rear wheels, with routing holes in the Case's base to help keep wires more organized. Although these Cases do not have Mains Circuit protection, production models will have a front panel mounted 15A over-current protection device with manual reset.
The Cases are supplied with a standard 14 gauge C13 power cord that is 2 meters in length, as well as the cage nuts mentioned above.
